Muscari

This widely known genus fortunately has some synonyms: Botryanthus, Muscarimia and Pseudomuscari. Muscari comes from the Latin: muscus (musky). Some species are surrounded by this musky scent. The genus Muscari consists of about 30 species from the Mediterranean, Turkey to the Caucasus. Known by the collective name grape hyacinth. However, not only the various shades of blue or blue-purple, but also white, sporadic yellow and even pink colours are found.
