Aart van Voorst (TetrA art Breeding) has been breeding Clivia, Haemanthus, Scadoxus and Cyrtanthus for many years. A number of special evergreen varieties of Haemanthus and other distinct Haemanthus types are available through the Nijssen Bulbs Heemstede webshop.

Haemanthus is an easy plant, doesn't need much water and it is no problem if it is forgotten once in a while. Just don't place it in full sun, as the leaves may burn. A light, well-draining potting soil will do and when the new leaves appear, add some nutrition.

To make room in the nursery, a number of plants, one specimen each, are available in large pots (17cm or 19cm) this year. A recent photo from 2024 in non-flowering condition of most of the plants is attached to the description.
