Intro: 1789. Three-cornered leek. Curly, grooved leaves envelop a distinctive triangular (triqueter) stem that depending on the location will reach a hight of 25-40 cm. The slightly nodding and remarkably bright white umbel consists of dozens of tubular to bell-shaped flowers with a green stripe on each petal. Origin: Mediterranean region, but apparently they also occur in the north of England. Naturalises well (proliferating).
