Description

Intro: 1753. Victorialis means to overcome, to prevail. The botanical name of this species is based on European mythology at the time of the Middle Ages. Occurs across southern Europe and northern Asia. The round white inflorescence has a three to five cm diameter. The leaf is similar to that of the Lily-of-the-valley. The plants were eaten either fresh or salted.
