An American species, occurring in the mountains among the scrub in the west, including Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Found and named after Dr William Fraser Tolmie. A compact-growing species with greenish soft pink flowers with a darker central vein. Striking are the semi-oval flower stems. The leaves are slender.
