Description

A spectacular Allium native to Iran. The large, globular flower head stands just above the ground on a short, 10-15 cm tall flower stalk. The numerous, wide-open, star-shaped flowers, formed by slender, pointed petals, are glossy, reddish violet. The usually two leaves are broadly elliptical in shape. Intro: 1903.
