Description

Intro: 1884. A. altissimum is found in Central Asia, northeastern Iran, as well as northwestern Afghanistan. This is a white form selected from seedlings. The globe-shaped flowers on tall stems are followed by decorative seed pods that remain attractive for a long time after flowering. The bulbs of A. altissimum divide quickly, creating a natural-looking group of ornamental onions soon after planting a few bulbs.
