Description
First described in 1905 by B. Fedtsch. In the Pskem Valley, this onion is used extensively for food. If you like spicy, you can shred the leaves to use in salads. In spring, the large cylinder-shaped leaves sprout from the ground like large fingers. Compact white spherical umbels appear on the hollow flower stalks in the second half of summer. Spectacular.
