Description
Intro: 1888. Origin: Northeast Oregon (USA). From a large, pear-shaped bulb grow powerful stems. The outer petals of the irregularly shaped flowers are blue. The stamens are shorter than the flower and the white filaments which are initially straight twist as the flower matures. The corrugated leaves are blue-green on top and soft green on the bottom.
