Description
An imperial purple form of the in Turkey, Syria and Lebanon common species C. cilicicum. The fragrant flowers are decorated with fine grey-white veins on the outside of the petals. Has few soil requirements and tolerates full sun. AGM in 2018 following the three-year test in which over 120 samples of supplied Colchicum were planted at Hyde Hall, Sussex, a garden of the R.H.S.
