It is a strong species, which in cultivation - if properly cared for - expands for many years in a row through lateral shoots and delights the caregiver annually with vigorous inflorescences on sturdy orange-spotted stems where the flower heads are surrounded by several surrounding orange, also red-green bracts and at first glance the red flowers themselves are hidden from view. These therefore only become clearly visible as they develop and only become readily visible when viewed from above.
