Description

Crocosmia is found in the south-eastern coastal regions of South Africa. The dried flowers, immersed in water, smell strongly of saffron. Known by the name Montbretia. The orange-yellow flowers, provided with a red blush, stand in thick spikes at the end of the flower stem. Large-flowered. Excellent cut flower. Reasonably hardy.
