Origin: Greece (Cyclades). An almost winter-flowering crocus with the common name 'Christmas crocus'. The inside of the flower is soft lilac, fading to white and eventually yellow towards the throat. The exterior of the nearly round petals has a mixture of brown-yellow and white feathers on a soft lilac background. The split stigmas are warm orange.
