Description
The slightly fragrant flowers of this species, which occurs in Azerbaijan and Iran along the Caspian Sea coast, are usually white with a yellow throat. Sometimes the flowers are soft lilac or show a hint of lilac. Two flowers usually appear one after the other. The leaves develop at the start of flowering. A crocus for non-drying soil, the southern Caspian region is moist and the crocus is found under dense vegetation
