It was John Inghamm who found this Crocus on the slope of Kuh-e Sendan Dagh in Iran in 2008. Only described for the first time in 2017 by Janis Ruksans in the first supplement of his book The World of Crocus. The late-flowering C. inghamii differs from C. reinhardii, also found there, among other things with its thin, papery bulbous skin. The pale blue flowers show a large, dark blush on the underside and have a centre stripe. A good growing crocus for a sunny position and permeable soil.
