Description
Intro: 1874. The leaf arrangement on the 50cm high flower stem is remarkable. Only a few thin leaves are attached to the flower stem, standing 10cm apart. Three nodding bell-shaped flowers per stem. On the outside the petals are olive green with brown spots, the inside of the petals is brown. Origin: the southwest of Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Cyprus where they can be found in vineyards. On their original sites they are dismissed as "weeds"!
