Description

Wietse Mellema crossed Allium lycoanicum with Allium nigrum 'Pink Jewel'. This resulted in the interesting Allium 'New York', a beauty with a semi-spherical flower head densely filled with soft lilac flowers. Beautiful are the slender, grey-green leaves that are still attractive at the time of flowering. Its height makes 'New York' good for use in the middle of the flowerbed.
