Crinum bulbispermum is among the most hardy species that can be grown excellently in our climate and without winter cover in the garden.
However, young plants should initially be given a winter leaf or straw cover before they are firmly established in the soil. It is recommended to plant the young plants, which may only flower after a few years, at a depth of at least 25/30cm in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. The eventually very pretty pink flowers, of this not common species, will appear around July/August.
