Iris Milesii is a perennial perennial plant native to the Himalayas, India and China. The plant has green rhizomes above ground. The rhizomes produce multiple shoots, from which 60 to 80 cm heigh stems grow in June-July. The stems have a few branches, on which 6 to 10cm wide shapely pink-violet flowers appear. Iris milesii is resistant to frost to -15 C. At the end of the growing season the leaves die off. A sunny, well-drained spot is important for a healthy growth and flowering.
It is recommended to apply a layer of leaves the first year after planting to stimulate regrowth next season.
