Description
Rembrandt tulip said to have been introduced around 1820, from Strong's hands. Registered on 31-12-1843, under the name Tulipa 'Charles X'. The golden yellow tulip with mahogany red markings is better known by the name: T. 'Royal Souvereign', but more synonyms are known: 'Duke of Lancaster','Page's George IV', 'Platoff', 'Victory Defiance' and 'Waterloo'.
