Description
VERVAIN. Annual: An indispensable plant for both butterflies and ourselves. the one-and-a-half-metre high, thin, strong stems with their countless umbels full of warm violet flowers, keep branching and blooming until the first frost. Dozens of butterflies and other insects dance and buzz around it in summer. A group together has a beautiful effect, but especially planted in between, this tall Vebena adds a dimension to the garden with its transparent grace: it makes everything look more spacious. The flowering stems also stand out beautifully in bouquets. Actually a semi-hardy perennial, but usually used as an annual. Sowing: Indoors in March and April outdoors April to June. Height: 120-150 cm. Planting distance: 30 cm. Flowering time: July to October.
