Description
A. Vvedensky described T. dubia in 1935 after a Tulipa collected near the Chotan River in the western Tien-Shan at high altitude. Dubia means: with some doubt. The offered form originally grows on the slopes of the Beldersai valley, near Mount Chimgan. The striking leaves are grey, sometimes almost purple the flowers are yellow, orange-red on the outside.
